Oct 01, 2013  Rockstar Games rolled out its Grand Theft Auto Online update for Grand Theft Auto 5 earlier today, but you might want to back up your save file before diving in.

Sadly, it appears GTA 5 is not above the regular launch problems. Reminiscent of the when that launched on PS3 and Xbox 360, those looking to transfer their GTA Online data to PS4 and Xbox One have run into a spot of bother. Developer first noticed players kicking up a stink as the game launched earlier today. According to those who’ve encountered the GTA Online issues, the game wouldn’t let players transfer their online save data to PS4 or Xbox One if they hadn’t played the mode since 2013.

Problem

Upon attempting to transfer the data, the game responded with a message that stated ““No previous Grand theft Auto Online data is associated with your Social Club account.” Even going back to play on PS3 or Xbox 360 proved fruitless, with the game stating that Rockstar services are unavailable. On PS4 and PS3, Rockstar has thankfully fixed this issue with a patch. At least that was the original plan, but that hasn’t been an instant fix for everyone. Some users have been met with an error called “CE-32937-4” which led to Rockstar suggesting that players just wait and try again. Sony has also offered some help, having “increased the number of servers that the PlayStation 4 patch can be download from to reduce errors and make the patch more accessible”.
